King Herod (Saturday and Sunday)* – Josh Gad (Olaf in Disney’s Frozen)

The Review: Teen

Because of the stacked cast in this show, this show was amazing! Cynthia Erivo’s vocals and rendition of Gethsemane were amazing! This was all staged so amazingly. The blend of rock and solemness this cast brings were amazing! The songs that were the most impressive for me were Gethsemane (Cynthia Erivo’s outstanding vocals), Could We Start Again Please (A blend of Milo Manheim’s and Phillipa Soo’s voices just sounds amazing), This Jesus Must Die (Brian Justin Crum singing on the higher octave for the entire song), Heaven on Their Minds, and Superstar (Adam Lambert’s power vocals).

Overall fantastic! This is a one of one concert with a one of one cast.

The Review: Tween

Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl is by far the best show I’ve ever seen. Cynthia and Adam’s vocals were so amazing together. The best song was Cynthia singing Gethsemane. All shows, she got standing ovations (which she deserves!). Adam Lambert was really good as Judas. His best song was probably Heaven on Their Minds. But overall, my personal favorites were Gethsemane, Superstar, Could We Start Again Please, and King Herod’s song. Josh Gad was really good and funny as King Herod. Honestly, this show is a 100/10.
